SkewStudent.bounds(resids: ndarray[tuple[int], dtype[float64]] | Series) → list[tuple[float, float]][source]¶

Construct parameter bounds for use in optimization.

Parameters:¶

resids: ndarray[tuple[int], dtype[float64]] | Series¶

Residuals to use when computing the bounds. Must be 1-d. NaN and inf are not checked.

Returns:¶

bounds – List of (lower, upper) bounds, with one tuple for each shape parameter.

Return type:¶

list of tuple of float

Raises:¶

• TypeError – If resids cannot be converted to float64.

• ValueError – If resids is not 1-d.
